On June 19, 2002 an open workshop entitled "Distributive Justice: Good Old Theories and Bad Practices" took place in the installation space of the Distributive Justice Project at the Documenta 11 in Kassel, Germany, bringing together authors of the project, social scientists, and visitors of the exhibition. The highlights of the current debate on distributive justice were introduced by the following speakers:

  • Prof. Wilfried Schumm, Ph.D., sociologist and political scientist, Institute for Social Research of the Goethe University Frankfurt
  • Prof. Sarat Maharaj, Ph.D., art theorist, University of London / Humboldt University Berlin, co-curator of the Documenta 11
  • Tobias Klaus, philosopher and sociologist, Ph.D. student, Trinity College Dublin
  • Neven Petrovic, philosopher and political scientist, Ph.D. student, CEU Budapest
  • Tomislav Janovic, philosopher, Zagreb The visitors took an active part in the discussion
