The
first overall presentation of the Distributive Justice
project is taking place from the 25th of
April to 6th of May in the Gallery of Extended
Media in Zagreb. This issue of the project's newsletter
series will be one of the project elements available
during the exhibition. Two exhibitions in 2002 (the
Biennial of Young Artists in Torino and Documenta11
in Kassel) were also accompanied with the separate
issues of the newsletter (No. 0 and No. 1). The connection
between our publication and the other parts of the
project, within the exhibition space and beyond it,
is realised in many different forms. During the exhibition
in Zagreb, several of the contributing writers from
previous issues will be participating in a theory
discussion in the gallery (the philosophers Žarko
Puhovski and Neven Petrović). Some of the mailing
list participants (Ana and Claus) have proved that
these kinds of communication forums can be appropriate
for interesting theory dialogue. You can find selections
from that correspondence on pages 4 and 5. We also
found the video-interview with Hetti Perkins, a curator
from Sydney (conducted by Andreja Kulunčić and Ivo
Martinović) to be interesting when transferred into
a different form: a short story (page 8). And finally,
we are continuing to open new topics in the field
of social change in transitional countries in the
interview with Sanja Crnković-Pozaić, the director
of the Croatian Employment Bureau.
